Our Leadership Role
Our General Managers are the heart and soul of ensuring our residents always gain the best care and access to safe facilities to live their best lives. We take their care very seriously and fully appreciate our care home is their home every day. We have an exciting newly created leadership role at our exciting new boutique 58 bed aged care home located in the heart of Prahran. Designed with modern finishes, lush outlooks, and thoughtfully created spaces, this home will offer a warm, welcoming, and community focused environment that residents will be proud to call home.
With a tram stop right at the front door and surrounded by local cafés and shops, the location is ideal for both residents and staff. Once open, our team will enjoy being part of a supportive, close-knit workplace where relationships with residents are personal, and the difference you make each day is truly meaningful.
This is a unique opportunity to join Infinite Care Prahran from the very beginning, shaping a brand-new home, building strong team culture, and helping us set the standard for exceptional aged care in Melbourne’s inner south.
About You
You will be an authentic, compassionate and value centric people leader who aligns with our philosophy and core values on resident quality of care, employee engagement and operational excellence. You are solution focused and think innovatively to achieve the highest level of staff engagement, resident outcomes and satisfaction. You are a natural people person who thrives when being with your people --- walking the floors touching base with residents, their families and our staff whilst leveraging your strong capabilities as below;
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage staff, as well as effectively allocate resources and delegate tasks.
- Passion and commercial flair to profitability of your business, developing occupancy sales strategies and a strong commitment to both local community allied health & sector networking experience to underpin your occupancy and admissions strategy.
- Astuteness across P&L's, Budgeting and financial management acumen, funding, and cost control.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to assess complex situations, make decisions, and implement solutions in high-pressure environments coupled with superior communication skills verbal, written & an appreciation for a multi-cultural healthcare workforce.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing and overseeing quality management systems, risk management protocols, and continuous improvement practices.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aged care management is essential.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of staff, ensuring high-quality care, and delivering effective operational management.
- Knowledge of the aged care standards, regulatory frameworks, and compliance with the Aged Care Act, including aged care accreditation standards, aged care legislation and a strong working knowledge of aged care funding.
- Experience in overseeing or managing the commissioning of a new aged care facility including coordinating the setup of operations, staffing, and services.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Services Management, Nursing, Aged Care, or Business Administration coupled with NDIS sector compliance.
