Applicants must have an Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter Role and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, this role is crucial for performing mechanical tasks to keep all plant equipment in optimal working condition. Responsibilities include executing mechanical maintenance tasks such as installation, monitoring, machine setup, site preventative maintenance, adjustments, breakdown repairs, and driving continuous improvement in site production machinery. The role demands efficiency and professionalism in completing breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work while upholding a safe and hygienic working environment. Your main functions will include:

- Follow the scheduled maintenance plan to ensure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained.
- Oversee Preventative & Reactive maintenance requests.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area and equipment maintenance.
- Report incidents promptly and participate in analysis and investigations.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with the Operational teams.
- Perform all fitting and assembly-related activities to the required quality.
- Prepare equipment for load-out, inspect, clean, and refurbish for future use.
- Maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment.
- Enhance responsibility areas by adopting excellence in hygiene, operational, and safety standards, focusing on good manufacturing practices, including housekeeping, reducing waste, personal hygiene, and conformance to procedures.
- Ensure that relevant documentation relating to responsibility areas is maintained to present standards.
- Log and complete all work in the maintenance system as listed on the work schedule.
- Read pneumatic schematics, fault-find safely and efficiently, and make modifications as required.
- Weld materials using Oxy, Tig, and Mig.
- Work unsupervised on shift and make decisions to promote efficiency.
- Ensure that all safety checks are performed as per instructions.

Qualification Requirements:

- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter:
- Knowledge and Understanding of SAP Systems: Proficiency in SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) software, particularly in modules related to plant maintenance, inventory management, and procurement. Crucial for managing maintenance schedules, tracking work orders, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Strong Troubleshooting and Fault-Finding Skills: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This includes interpreting technical diagrams, using diagnostic tools, and applying problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
