Position: Chef – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities
You'll be a vital part of our culinary team, taking charge of cooking operations, coordinating with other chefs, and ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation, and hygiene. You'll be expected to work across multiple sections of the kitchen and help maintain smooth service during peak periods.
1. Plan, prepare, and present Indian dishes across multiple sections (including dosa, tandoor, and curry)
2. Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of meals
3. Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, and cooking times to ensure quality standards
4. Coordinate kitchen operations with other chefs and kitchen staff
5. Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per food handling regulations
6. Assist with stock ordering, receiving, and inventory control
7. Train and mentor junior staff and kitchen hands where required
8. Collaborate with management on menu updates and new dish development
9. Manage prep schedules to reduce waste and increase kitchen efficiency

Skills and Experience
1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
2. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a busy commercial kitchen (Indian cuisine experience preferred)
3. Strong multitasking and communication skills
4. Knowledge of traditional Indian spices, regional cooking techniques, and modern presentation styles
5. Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP, and OH&S regulations
6. Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results
7. Positive, team-oriented attitude
