Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Macquarie Bank Limited Full time
Our Exposure Identification team, in the Vulnerability Management service within the Cybersecurity division, is responsible for surfacing the most critical vulnerabilities across Macquarie's IT ecosystem and providing a prioritised and contextualised view of vulnerability data that enables teams to focus remediation efforts where needed.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 55 years of unbroken profitability. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

In your role as an Application Security Analyst, you will sit on the operations side of the Exposure Identification Team, assisting us with managing the cyber risk identified from our vulnerability scanning toolset.

You will be at the forefront of managing Macquarie's cyber risk through the maintenance and management of our security scanning tools, with a primary focus on our SAST and SCA tools. You will work closely with both our internal stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot any issues arising from our tools, as well as uplift our current capability and processes. Applicants will also be expected to collaborate closely with other business units to provide remediation guidance for security findings derived from these toolsets.

What you offer

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 1 year of proven experience in application security, vulnerability management, or a relevant transferable role.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of SAST and SCA tools, with Fortify and Blackduck preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, as well as scripting experience, is strongly desired but not mandatory.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools (e.g., Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience troubleshooting technical issues and analysing application logs and stack traces.
- Competencies in deriving security insights from data for security reporting. Experience with SQL and Power BI is highly desirable.
- Experience with the use of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience working in Agile teams, showcasing strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficiency in communicating technical concepts to non-technical personnel.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us. If you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie, we encourage you to apply.
