About the Role

We are currently hiring a casual Grounds Person to assist with various tasks related to turf and garden maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. If you have a passion for learning about the racing industry, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow in the horticultural industry, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Assist with turf and garden maintenance tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Load and unload materials, plants, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

About You

- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field is preferred.

- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid manual drivers licence

- Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
