As our Financial Accountant, you’ll ensure smooth delivery of payments for our healthcare heroes across Australia. This newly created role offers you the chance to work with a dynamic, high‑performing team and contribute to one of Australia’s biggest success stories.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the Financial Controller and CFO, in a supportive environment where your expertise drives growth and innovation.

What You’ll Do

- Collaborate with Practice Managers, Operations and your fellow finance team to ensure the highest quality of service for practitioners.
- Prepare payments to doctors, specialists, and healthcare providers in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Reconcile clinic revenue, patient billing and doctor payments, ensuring complete accuracy.
- Monitor and resolve payment dishonours within a reasonable timeframe.
- Support our rapid expansion with acquisition related accounting.
- Handle clinic and practitioner queries, reconcile accounts and contribute to audits and statutory reporting.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance in our fast‑paced environment.

Who You Are

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- CPA or CA accounting qualified.
- 2 – 5 years plus experience in a Financial Accountant role or similar, preferably within the healthcare sector or service‑based industry.
- Experience working within Big 4 / Second Tier desirable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a finance team and collaboratively with other business teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Knowledge of medical practitioner contracts and billing procedures is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and large ERP applications MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) desirable.
- Experience in healthcare software applications such as Best Practice, Cubiko and AutoMed a plus
