The Role

We’re on the lookout for a passionate teacher to join our dynamic team and help grow the next generation of landscape professionals.

This full-time role based at our Alanvale campus, is perfect for someone who loves getting their hands dirty and inspiring minds, by bringing real-life relevant landscape experience into the classroom. - Staying fresh with industry trends through ongoing professional development and industry networking.

- Supporting learners both on campus and out in the workplace.

What you bring to the role:

- A creative and caring approach to teaching and assessment.

- Strong foundations and industry experience in landscape construction.

- An aspirational mentoring mindset and collaborative spirit.

- Adaptability, curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.

- Great communication skills that connect with learners, employers, and Industry partners.

- Extensive knowledge in plant culture and landscape construction techniques.

- Driver’s licence.

You’ll also need a trade certificate or above in landscape construction and a current Working with Vulnerable People registration (or be ready to get one before you start).

At TasTAFE, we believe in nurturing talent, yours included. Whether you’re a seasoned educator or just starting to explore the teaching path, we want to hear from you. If you don’t yet hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we offer alternative pathways and support to help you get qualified while you work.
