About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a General Practitioner providing primary care for one of Victoria’s most vulnerable populations. Based at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, this role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a patient cohort marked by complex health needs, trauma and disadvantage. You'll join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team in a progressive model of care that prioritises women's health, chronic disease management and the specific needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.

Key responsibilities

- Providing Primary Care to patients at DPFC

- Participate in the on‑call roster

About you

- Be an experienced General Practitioner with current AHPRA registration and specialist GP qualification (e.g., RACGP, ACRRM)

- Demonstrate capability in quality improvement

- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including custodial and community‑based services

We also operate Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre, Melton Health and Community Services, Bacchus Marsh Community Health Centre, Caroline Springs Community Health Centre and Grant Lodge Residential Aged Care in Bacchus Marsh. Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
