About the Opportunity

Are you hands-on, safety-focused, and ready to be part of a high-performing team? Austal is seeking a motivated permanent Yard Hand to support our production operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contribution directly impacts the success of our projects.

What’s Involved

As a Yard Hand, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Complete facility maintenance activities and yard work.
- Painting activities (line marking, walkways etc.).
- Forklift operation.
- Assisting trades when required.
- Operating forklifts, EWP, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Working collaboratively with your team and taking ownership of your work.

You’ll Need

- Experience working in a similar labouring role.
- Construction White Cad.
- Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools.
- Forklift Licence.
