Small Animal Medicine Specialist Position in Melbourne - 221,091LH2

Would you like to become part of a team that invests in your success and well-being, ensuring a fulfilling and sustainable career?

A privately-owned, state-of-the-art specialist hospital in Melbourne is seeking a specialist in small animal medicine to join the team.

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team including a diagnostic imaging specialist, anaesthesiologist, two specialist surgeons, and a criticalist. The employers are now looking to expand their services to include internal medicine.

This is an amazing opportunity to join a great hospital with a culture of teamwork, respect and support. The employers are dedicated to staff well-being and professional growth, and there are ample opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including a CPD allowance and conference leave.

The role will see the successful specialist treat a wide range of cases and work collaboratively with other departments, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

This is a full time role (four days per week). The work roster is designed to be sustainable, helping vets to maintain a good work-life balance and avoid burnout.

The specialist hospital is purpose-built and well-equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging including on-site Siemens CT, digital radiography, fluoroscopy & ultrasound. An in-house IDEXX Lab, endoscopy, ventilators and more are also available, allowing the team to provide optimal care to patients. The hospital has dedicated wards for dogs, cats, surgery, infectious diseases and an ICU.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located in a great suburb of Melbourne, with access to world-class shopping malls, cinemas, nightlife, good schools, and leading universities.

Vetlink is a free service for job seekers.
