The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for experienced and talented technical support to work as part of the Tactical Data Link Test and Evaluation Services (TDLTES) Contract.

As the technical support, you will be part of a highly specialised team providing a variety of services such as engineering analysis, test and certification of Tactical Data Links. The engineering support and test services are executed on the field with operational assets as well as in lab environments across a wide range of platforms for the Australian Defence Force.

Responsibilities

- Support the evaluation of diverse engineering solutions for complex technical problems, from requirements definition, through system implementation, verification, validation and certification of TDL platforms.
- Develop experience with emerging TDL capabilities and their introduction into existing systems to meet future ADF interoperability requirements and in support of future projects.
- Conduct tasking, including test and evaluation activities, to achieve the required outcomes.
- Validate communication messages to meet standards for TDL network interoperability.

Essential Experience / Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience
- Relevant practical experience working within an engineering or quality management framework
- Ability to write and execute detailed test procedures in accordance with a Test Plan.
- Ability to evaluate and analyse test data in accordance with an Evaluation Plan.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements (NV-1).

Desirable Experience / Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in Data Communication and Tactical Data Links as well as familiarity with Australian Defence Force platforms.
- Experience with software testing in a software environment is highly regarded.
- Familiar with and experience working in accordance with Global Trade Control (GTC) requirements, specifically the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARs) and Defence Export Controls.
- The ideal applicant will be required to adopt an inquisitive and learning mindset overlaid with exceptional communication skills and will have the ability to adapt the role for best effect considering all stakeholder needs.
