As an Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll take the lead in the day-to-day running of our vibrant pub and entertainment venue. This hands‑on role is all about being on the floor, driving service, leading the team, and creating unforgettable guest experiences across our bar, restaurant, and entertainment areas.

What You’ll Do

- Lead with Impact: Oversee the daily operations of our venue, ensuring that every aspect of service—whether in the bar, restaurant, or gaming room – is of the highest standard.

- Inspire and Motivate Your Team: Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional service.

- Enhance Guest Experiences: Be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring that all their needs are met and any issues are resolved quickly.

- Drive Operational Efficiency: Oversee staffing, scheduling, and inventory management while keeping an eye on budgets and financial performance.

- Ensure Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and venue policies.

What We’re Looking For

- A proven leader with previous AVM or hospitality management experience.

- A positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, close‑knit team environment.

- A focus in Front‑of‑house – this role is hands‑on, not office‑based.

- Availability to work night shifts, with a split of 1‑2 day shifts per week.

- A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle problems on the spot.

- A solid understanding of hospitality regulations, financial management, and best practices.

Mandatory Qualifications

- RMLV: Required to ensure compliance with licensing regulations.

- Approved Manager’s License: Necessary for managing licensed areas and ensuring the legal operation of the venue.

- RSA: Essential for serving alcohol responsibly.

- RSG: Required to oversee gambling activities.

- CLO Certification: Important for managing customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
