Your role:

We're on the lookout for a future leader to join our high-performing Dulux Trade Sales Team. In this highly autonomous role, you'll be responsible for developing and profitably growing sales across our wide range of coatings through strong customer relationships and technical support. As a Business Development Manager, your focus will be on acquiring and growing new and non-purchasing accounts through outbound servicing and face-to-face sales calls. You'll split your time between outbound phone contact and on-the-road meetings, giving you the opportunity to influence buying habits across our store network.
This role is based in Cairns, servicing the Far North Queensland region. You'll work closely with trade professionals and develop deep local insights; all while being backed by one of the most trusted names in paint.

Key Responsibilities:
- Profile individual accounts and build long-term business-to-business relationships
- Acquire and grow new and existing trade painter accounts through effective outbound and in-person engagement
- Understand the needs of trade painters and deliver exceptional service through tailored solutions
- Promote and educate customers on Dulux products, including Acratex Textures, Protective Coatings, Woodcare, and preparation & application tools
- Effectively manage your territory through strategic planning and prioritisation aligned with Dulux Trade Sales objectives

Skills & Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Resilience, adaptability, and a driven, positive attitude
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to maximise efficiency on the road
- Experience within the Trade Sales/Construction Industry will be highly regarded – product knowledge and training will be provided
- Confidence using CRM tools and a willingness to embrace new technologies
