Exact Contracting are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their remote civil construction and mining projects in the Northern Territory.

This role will be a site-based workshop position reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.

You will be responsible for supervising safe and cost-effective maintenance activities on projects.

Responsibilities:

- Lead from the front, driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
- Manage resources effectively to ensure maintenance schedules are met;
- Drive operational efficiencies;
- Provide leadership and supervision through on-the-ground presence, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals;
- Inspire and motivate team members towards achieving goals;
- Conduct scheduled employee performance appraisals, and develop corrective and growth plans as needed;
- Resolve problems and conflicts within the crew;
- Be hands-on when required, performing servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.

Role Requirements:

- Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
- Current driver's license;
- Experience in supervisory or management roles;
- Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
- Experience with Kenworth and Mack Trucks and related gear;
- Industry experience in civil/mining sectors with a solid understanding of mobile plant and crushing operations;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems like MEX;
- Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
- Effective communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors;
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
- Willingness to work in remote locations;
- Hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
