About the Position

About Smiles Chatswood is on the lookout for a friendly and professional Chinese speaking receptionist to join our busy, patient-focused practice on a full time basis - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and one Saturday per month.

As the first point of contact, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
- Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
- Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
- Office Organization: Keep the reception area tidy and organized, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.

What do you need to succeed

- Prior experience is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
