The Opportunity

We’re seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Finance Managerto join our Sydney‑based team on a 15‑month fixed term contract. Reporting to the APAC Regional Financial Controller, this role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting and accounting operations across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. You’ll lead the month‑end close process, manage statutory reporting, and drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and financial governance.

What you’ll do

- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
- Lead statutory reporting and audit processes across AU, NZ, and PH
- Manage SOX compliance and internal controls across APAC
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset management
- Drive month‑end close efficiency and system/process improvements
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance financial performance
- Act as a key contact for auditors, corporate finance, and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support business initiatives

What you’ll bring

- CPA or CA qualification – this is essential
- 4–5+ years’ experience in accounting, including experience in Big Four public practice
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, with exposure to US GAAP and SOX compliance (preferred)
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle FCCS, Blackline, and advanced Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is advantageous
- A continuous improvement mindset and ability to work under pressure
