About the role

Provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at Uniting AgeWell – Box Hill.

- Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs

- Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing

- Support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes

- Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses

- Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses

- Casual opportunity for supporting the team on any shift type, any day

About you

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)

- Minimum 1 year experience as an Enrolled Nurse in residential aged care (preferred)

- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)

- Able to demonstrate strong clinical skill set

- Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving

- Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions with all levels of care partners

- Available and committed to work as needed, with at least 3-4 days a week availability

- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

- A current Working With Children Check

- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations

- Australian working rights

- Ability to pass a national police clearance

- Hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
