Wamarra specialises in comprehensive construction services, managing a diverse portfolio of complex projects and services. Our distinctive focus lies in fostering long-term, meaningful employment opportunities and skill development for our First Nations workforce.
Our experience in construction spans earthworks, pavements – roads and car parks, hard and soft landscaping, carpentry and site establishment, drainage and concreting.
The role
With our workbook growing in the region, Wamarra are seeking a leader, in the form of a Project Manager, to join our business and spearhead our work in hand, as well as take the lead on tenders within the region. This is a leadership position, offering a unique and rare opportunity to support the continued expansion of Wamarra into NSW.
Your day to day
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure project milestones are met.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring effective communication among team members.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to address issues as they arise.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or feedback.
Who are you?
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Several years of experience, preferably in leading and delivering similar style of projects greater than $5mil.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) and familiarity with methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management and reporting.
