About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our Research and Innovation team at PathWest. The Director, Research and Innovation provides vision, leadership and inspiration to continually develop and drive research and innovation across PathWest by:

- Developing and growing research and innovation programs aligned with PathWest priorities, including oversight of research support structures, optimising PathWest access to research funding and managing the development and implementation of innovation programs.
- Engaging with stakeholder groups to foster new partnerships that expand PathWest as a major hub for research and innovation.

Responsibilities

- Provide strategic direction and leadership for PathWest research and innovation initiatives.
- Oversee research support structures and funding access; manage development and implementation of innovation programs.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to establish partnerships and collaborations.

Eligibility and conditions

- Eligibility to apply: must have a valid working visa (fixed term) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
- Other conditions: WA Health may require criminal records screening, integrity checking, working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. - Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) is required; conditional on satisfactory PEHA. An unsatisfactory PEHA may withdraw the offer.
