Role Opportunity
Structural Engineer with 2 - 5 years experience to join a growing local structural engineering consultant focusing on mining and heavy industrial projects. Previous FEA experience utilising ANSYS will be highly regarded.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
2. 2 - 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sectors.
3. Proficiency in ANSYS for structural analysis and FEA simulations.
4. Strong SpaceGass experience.
5. Familiarity with Australian Standards (e.g., AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 1170).
6. Strong understanding of steel and concrete design principles.
7. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Conduct structural analysis and design for mining infrastructure using ANSYS and other engineering software.
2. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, fatigue, and stability assessments of structures.
3. Develop and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and geotechnical engineers.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and safety regulations.
6. Participate in site visits, inspections, and structural integrity assessments.
7. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution.
8. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and feasibility studies.
