Mareeba, Australia UNAVAILABLE Full time

Overview

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - If you're passionate about aviation engineering and eager to make an impact, this is the role for you.

We are continually seeking dedicated Mechanical and Avionics Engineers who are ready to serve in one of our many global locations. Join us and make a difference with your skills and faith. Our aircraft navigate some of the most challenging terrains, where safety is paramount. The expertise that an Engineer brings to our aircraft is crucial. We primarily operate single-engine turbine and piston aircraft, demanding high precision and skill. If you're passionate about aviation engineering and eager to make an impact, this is the role for you.

Join us and be part of something extraordinary

We currently have vacancies in Papua New Guinea, Bougainville, Uganda , Arnhem Land , Timor-Leste and Mareeba - Australia.

In the hangar, our typical days usually involve inspections. Much of our work is preventative so by carrying out inspections every 100 or 200 operational hours, we are able to catch most things before they become problems. Field repairs for the occasional break down in remote locations can provide interesting logistics and problem solving challenges that add to the variety in this amazing role. In some of our larger facilities, we’re also able to take on some bigger projects too, that might involve delving into parts of an aircraft not normally opened, to replace entire avionics systems, or stripping all of the paint off an aircraft to carry out structural repairs then repaint in our new colour scheme.

*NOTE:You will need to be able to obtain appropriate work permits for the country the position is based in*

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Professional Maintenance Planning: Lead the charge in planning and executing scheduled maintenance, ensuring our aircraft are in peak condition and ready for any challenge.
- Quality and Safety Management: Be a champion for safety and quality, driving continual improvement, participating in audits, and fostering a positive safety culture.
- Team Development: Empower the next generation of engineers by mentoring trainees and AMEs, providing them with the support and feedback they need to excel.
- Personal Growth: Stay at the cutting edge of your field by completing CPD modules, participating in MAF-organized training events, and keeping up with the latest in aviation safety and training materials.
- Cultural Leadership: Contribute to a vibrant, shared culture within the Aviation department, working closely with project teams and building strong relationships with your peers, both locally and regionally.

Additional Opportunities:

- Global Impact: Occasionally, you may have the exciting opportunity to assist in the maintenance and repair of aircraft in other programs, traveling beyond your usual location for up to 10 weeks per year.
