Perth, Australia Arc Infrastructure Full time

Overview

Job Category: Logistics, Supply & Transport

Arc Infrastructure manages and develops transport infrastructure assets that support growth and create jobs in WA. Rail is at the heart of our business, and the 5,500km rail network is the backbone of freight transport in Western Australia from the diverse Midwest across to the fascinating Goldfields and Yilgarn regions through to the stunning South West and Great Southern. We’re committed to working with industry, our customers, partners and communities to find new opportunities that will support and strengthen our rail network for the benefit of WA.

The Opportunity – A Career Like No Other

Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where focus, clear communication, and split-second decisions make all the difference? Are you looking to take your transferable skills into a brand-new career where no two days are the same?

Arc Infrastructure is offering the opportunity to become a Trainee Network Controller – the people at the heart of WA’s rail operations. Our controllers keep freight moving safely and efficiently across the state, making critical decisions in real-time.

This isn’t “just another job.” It’s a career that challenges you, grows your skillset, and gives you a front-row seat to one of WA’s most vital industries. And the best part? You don’t need rail experience. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.

The Role

As a Trainee Network Controller, you’ll:

- Train to safely manage and coordinate the movement of trains across WA.
- Work with cutting-edge systems and technology.
- Balance autonomy and teamwork – making crucial decisions while working closely with fellow controllers.
- Be part of 24/7 operations on a rotating roster (12-hour shifts).
- Start your journey at our Canning Vale Control Centre, before moving into a new state-of-the-art facility at Perth Airport in 2027.

Why Join Arc Infrastructure?

We know this career is demanding – and rewarding. That’s why we invest heavily in our people. When you join Arc, you can expect:

- Comprehensive training & development to launch you into a whole new career.
- Competitive salary with opportunities for progression as you grow.
- Extra flexibility with options to purchase additional leave.
- Health & wellbeing support, including annual subsidy, flu shots, and skin checks.
- Paid parental leave and a genuine focus on work-life balance.
- Employee discounts and rewards, including novated leasing.

Most importantly, you’ll be part of a supportive, respectful team culture where your skills are valued and your growth is encouraged.
