Clinical Nurse Manager - Waitlist / Anaesthesia and Perioperative Clinic

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

We currently have a permanent full time opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager - Waitlist / Anaesthesia and Perioperative Clinic (APOC) to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Provide an effective clinical function in maintaining the WEST (Western Australia Elective Services Target) and elective patient flow within Waitlist

- Influence the practice of waitlist of elective surgery patients to be operated within the category of urgency timeframes

- Accountable for provision of leadership, clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development, and change management

- Oversees the review of patients having planned surgery or procedure at FSH requiring anaesthesia, including the review and management of high-risk anaesthetic patients.
