Incredible opportunity for a knowledgeable and competent Tax Advisory and Consulting Director who loves to work on challenging and novel tax matters for one of the fastest growing accounting firms in Sydney & nationally with prestigious listed and large private clients.

THE ROLE

A well-established Top 30 CA firm in Sydney CBD is seeking a Tax Advisory and Consulting Director to service this firm's fast-growing tax practice. In this role, you'll provide specialised tax advice, build strong client relationships, and leverage the firm's extensive professional network. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering results in tax advisory services and a track record of phenomenal client relationship skills.

REQUIREMENTS

- Be CA/CPA qualified and ideally a Masters of Tax (not essential)
- Great communicator and excellent English communication skills - written (clear communication in your advice) and verbal (to build relationships with clients)
- At least 7 years of recent Australian experience in broad corporate taxation matters either as a tax lawyer or ideally tax consultant in a mid-tier or top tier firm with a strong understanding of tax legislation, SME CGT concessions, tax controversy, tax consequences of sale & restructure of businesses (lots of M&A work) and solid understanding of tax effect accounting, GST and transfer pricing.
- Excellent research skills, coupled with a clear comprehension and effective application of facts.
- History of maintaining excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders
- A track record of proven new business development via existing network or referrals
- Positive attitude and strong team player abilities to lead and manage a talented team
- Right to work in Australia (Australian/NZ Citizen or PR)
