The Role

We currently have a vacancy for suitably qualified and experienced Electrician on weekend night shift. You will join a highly motivated and experienced team who provide excellent, time critical service ensuring the reliability of the Castlemaine site. This role is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Friday - Sunday from 5:30pm - 5:30am.

Purpose of the Role

- Diagnose and resolve equipment electrical breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity in a safe manner.

- Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to communicate equipment status, particularly during shift changes.

- Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.

- Work with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensure follow up on identified actions.

- Maintain all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.

- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.

About You

- With any of the Electrical trade qualifications below:

- Trade Certificate III in Electrical Fitting

- Trade Certificate III in Electrotechnology Technician

- A" Grade / E-class Electrician License

- A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.

- Can work and communicate well in a team environment.

- Sound understanding of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance systems and techniques.

- Sound knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc.

- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Great organisational and time management skills.

- Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
