Overview

Are you an ambitious and experienced Tax manager?

The client is a leading firm based in Cambridge, experiencing rapid growth. Their clients include high-net-worth individuals and businesses offering a varied range of services. They are looking for ambitious individuals to join their Private Client Tax team to aid their growth.

Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients, delivering personalised and strategic tax planning and advice
- Ensure compliance with latest tax updates and lead the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
- Advise on a wide range of tax issues, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, for individuals, families, trustees, and partnerships
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and meet clients’ complex needs
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services and support client growth
- Support the development of junior team members by providing mentorship and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Requirements

- ATT and CTA or equivalent professional qualification in taxing or accounting
- Experience in managing a private tax portfolio
- Experience working with rural clients, particularly in areas of trust and partnership, is preferred but not essential
- Communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to explain technical concepts to clients
- Ability to remain responsive and adaptable to shifting tax regulations and emerging industry trends
