Job Opportunity

We are hiring a full-time Employment Consultant in Hervey Bay, known internally as a Job Development Coach.

In this on-the-ground, relationship-driven role, you will:

- Conduct individual assessments and develop personalised job plans.
- Create inclusive employment opportunities by engaging with employers.
- Advocate for young people and support them into meaningful work.
- Provide ongoing post-placement support to ensure long-term success.
- Collaborate with internal teams and community stakeholders.
- Promote youth-first, strengths-based approaches to employment.

Requirements

In addition, you also possess:

- Experience in Disability Employment Services (DES) or similar and are ready to apply it with purpose and impact
- A high degree of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management
- The ability to thrive in dynamic youth-focused environments and build genuine connections with young people.
- A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young people living with disability and are committed to helping them overcome these through employment
- The motivation to achieve measurable outcomes and believe that employment is a powerful gateway to independence and self-worth.
- The readiness to make a meaningful difference. Every day, with every young person.
