About the opportunity

As an Audio Sales Engineer, you will provide technical designs and solutions throughout the sales cycle to ensure our partners and customers know the full value of our audio solutions.

Tapping into your expertise of the audio market, you will work closely with the Audio Sales Manager to increase awareness of Axis Communications Audio systems and solutions and create new opportunities to drive revenue across the Oceania market.

The role will also build awareness and educate our network and wider community about Axis products and solutions by presenting in webinars, industry networks, training, etc.

You will collaborate closely with the wider Oceania Sales Engineer team, Sales, Marketing, and will join the Axis Global Sales Engineer community in regional APAC and HQ, in Sweden.

The role is based in Sydney and has an inherent requirement to travel domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

- Collaborate with integrators, technology partners, and internal teams during the project sales process
- Design IP based audio systems, including detailed site surveys, speaker placement, sound dispersion calculations, SPL coverage, network topology, and BOM creation
- Produce schematic drawings using tools such as CAD, Axis Site Designer, and EASE Evac
- Recommend and integrate third-party audio products as part of overall solutions
- Support sales efforts with technical demonstrations, audio solution delivery, and presales technical documentation
- Provide technical training and updates on audio solutions to distributors, resellers, and customers
- Identify new audio business opportunities through partner engagement
- Represent Axis at industry events and trade shows with a focus on audio solutions
- Collaborate across departments and support other Sales Engineers as needed

Qualification and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is desirable
- Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role, ideally in the field of network audio or IP-based audio solutions
- General knowledge in common paging loudspeaker systems/solutions and IP-based audio and AV Control Systems is required
- Able to facilitate engaging presentations and demonstrations to a variety of audiences
