An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Psychiatrist to join the Mental Health Service at the Hospital within the region Hospital and Health Service. The area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

Are you looking for a Consultant Opportunity in a great location, with teaching and research responsibilities and a team that is truly dynamic in its leadership and clinical approach?

They are currently seeking a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join the team.

You will provide both inpatient and community based services and have extensive teaching and research responsibilities.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key attributes. Within the context of the responsibilities described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Key Attributes

- Demonstrated ability to make a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and provide treatment for patients with serious mental illness and mental health problems.
- Ability to provide medical leadership in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in teaching, evaluation and research.
- Excellent clinical variety.

Registration as a medical practitioner and specialist psychiatrist (FRANZCP) with the Medical Board of Australia.
