About the role

Join a passionate and driven team as a Carer Recruitment and Development Worker, playing a key role in shaping the future of care within the Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development Team. This position involves attracting, assessing, and supporting new carers, as well as empowering and retaining our existing carer community through training and development.

Based in the North Division (Bendigo), you will have a varied role with regular travel across Loddon and surrounding areas to connect with communities and make a real impact. Travel across the wider North Division, including Preston and other program areas, is required. You will report to the Carer Recruitment and Development Coordinator and be at the forefront of a mission that truly changes lives.

Key Selection Criteria

- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Children's Services, Welfare Services, or equivalent.
- Sound professional knowledge and theory base, particularly in trauma, attachment, therapeutic care, assessment, and training.
- Ability to meet deadlines and KPIs while working under pressure, demonstrating exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.

You must have:

- Valid and current Driver's Licence.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop).
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check for risk-assessed/client-facing roles. MacKillop can assist with applications.
