The Role 🥳

We’re hiring for a Staff Software Engineer to join our mission‑critical Enterprise team in Sydney. You’ll play a key leadership role ensuring Relevance AI’s platform meets the needs of enterprise‑scale customers—focusing on security, reliability, and extensibility for high‑value clients with advanced requirements such as SSO, compliance, data governance, and integrations.

You will drive technical leadership and execution across the Enterprise team, partnering closely with product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams to deliver robust enterprise‑grade capabilities. This is a high‑visibility role where you’ll have autonomy to design complex systems, shape architecture across teams, and see your impact reflected in real customer outcomes.

Your Impact 💥

- Lead design and implementation of enterprise‑grade features such as SSO, RBAC/permissions, audit logs, compliance tooling, and data visibility.

- Drive reliability and scalability initiatives critical to enterprise adoption and platform robustness.

- Provide architectural guidance and cross‑team leadership to ensure the platform supports secure, large‑scale, multi‑tenant deployments.

- Collaborate closely with product and go‑to‑market teams to translate enterprise customer requirements into technical solutions that drive adoption and satisfaction.

- Mentor and level‑up engineers within and beyond the Enterprise team, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.

- Contribute to Relevance AI’s broader engineering direction, shaping processes, standards, and best practices as we scale.

Our Tech Stack (so far) 💻

We leverage a modern, scalable, and developer‑friendly technology stack to build robust web applications:

- Frontend: Vue.js, Nuxt, Typescript

- Backend: Express.js, Node.js, Typescript

- Database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL

- Cloud & Deployment: Vercel, AWS

Experience with React or strong transferable backend experience is also valued.

What We’re Looking For 🧠

- 6+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, ideally within fast‑paced, high‑growth tech environments building enterprise‑grade products.

- Experience delivering enterprise features, such as SSO, permissions systems, audit logs, compliance or complex integrations.

- Evidence of operating at Senior+ scope—driving architecture, mentoring teams, and influencing across multiple squads or projects.

- Passion for building scalable and fault‑tolerant systems for real‑world users in enterprise environments.

- Strong technical foundations in cloud infrastructure and APIs (preferably AWS, Node.js/Python, REST/GraphQL).

- Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear technical strategies.

- Proficiency in modern web technologies, ideally TypeScript and React (or equivalent).

- Customer‑centric mindset, capable of owning end‑to‑end delivery and solving complex, impactful problems.

- Deep interest in AI and enthusiasm for building category‑defining software.

- Regularly leverage AI tools and technologies to boost productivity and innovation.

Bonus Points For The Following ⭐

- Strong understanding of large scale per‑customer deployments (including on‑premise and cloud).

- Knowledge of FGA/ RBAC access controls, AWS infrastructure, SSO/ OAuth systems, and platform analytics.
