Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Melbourne CBD
Design & Build are currently looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer on behalf of a national Engineering Consultancy with a stable project pipeline. You would be responsible for creating structural designs and leading projects autonomously in the commercial sector.
What your day looks like:
1. Create complex structural designs for commercial buildings, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
2. Manage the structural engineering projects, confirming they are completed on time and within budget.
3. Conduct inspections and reviews of structural shop drawings.
4. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
5. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient project designs.
About you:
1. 7+ years experience as a Structural Engineer in the buildings sector, ideally working on commercial projects.
2. Educated to a Bachelors Degree level in Civil / Structural Engineering.
3. Relevant engineering registrations including NER, RBP and working towards CPEng.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant structural design software.
5. Good understanding of all relevant Australian building codes and regulations.
