Overview

We are now accepting applications for Allied Health Assistants to join our dedicated Clare Allied Health team casual pool for 2025/2026.

As an Allied Health Assistant, your primary role is to support the Allied Health team in delivering Allied Health services to patients/clients of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) Community Health, under the supervision.

Location

Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Clare; outreach to Burra, Snowtown, Balaklava and Riverton (max 40min drive from Clare).

Responsibilities

- Assist components of the Allied Health team’s work that are safe and appropriate for the Allied Health Assistant to perform under clear instructions, without clinical presentation changes.
- Monitor patient response to therapies and report to the supervising Allied Health Professional.

Eligibility and Classification

- Multi-classed: AHA1 | AHA2 | AHA3; classification determined by qualifications and experience.
- Eligibility Open to Everyone.
- Applicants must be eligible and/or willing to complete a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent with experience in a service environment. A relevant certificate in community, lifestyle or health may be beneficial but is not essential.

Requirements and Checks

- Check(s):
- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups (e.g., aged care or vulnerable clients)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances). SA Health policies on immunisation and vaccination apply.

Remuneration and Appointment

Salary $15.42 - $38.29 per hour + 25% casual loading. Casual contracts available up to 27 February 2026. Multi-classed as AHA1, AHA2 or AHA3; classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
