R&D Chemist and/or Product Manager

Leader in the Metal Working Fluids field seeks an R&D Chemist and/or Product Manager to lead their technical program.

Our client, an Australian success story, specialises in the development, marketing and manufacture of innovative premium metal working fluids for major metal manufacturers and engineering workshops. They feature general purpose fluids as well as specialty fluids for particular applications .

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated R&D Chemist to lead the Metal Working Fluids Technical program. This opportunity will involve reporting directly to the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for formulating new products, setting quality specifications, and providing manufacturing support.

The essential elements of the role are;

- Develop Metal Working Fluids to meet the current and future requirements of the SE Asian, Middle East and Australian markets.
- Constant client contact to understand these needs intimately.
- Constantly reviewing the product offering to meet market and commercial demands.

To be successful in this role you will have;

- A proven track record in product development of metal working fluids/cutting lubricants.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with clients to formulate products specific to their requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in chemistry or applied science are essential.
- You will have high energy levels, good communication skills and a natural leader who can demonstrate 100% commitment to the position.

A competitive salary package will be commensurate with the ability of the candidate.

This role can be based in Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Bangkok. You will be required to to travel one week per month (on average).
