As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and help us maintain the exceptional standard our guests love.

Location: 1 Lim Way, Aintree VIC 3336
Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation
Employment Type: Full-Time

The Role
As a Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, craft fresh and seasonal dishes, and uphold our commitment to consistency, quality, and innovation. You’ll work closely with management to create menu specials, manage inventory, and train kitchen staff in efficient, safe food preparation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and cook dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
2. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service periods.
3. Develop and refine menu items, including specials and seasonal offerings.
4. Manage stock rotation, monitor ingredient quality, and ensure minimal waste.
5. Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
6. Inspect equipment, work areas, and supplies to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
7. Train and mentor junior kitchen team members to improve skills and performance.
8. Collaborate with management to plan events, functions, and catering menus.
9. Ensure timely service delivery and maintain kitchen efficiency during peak hours.

Skills & Experience
1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
3. Proven skills in modern Australian café cuisine and breakfast/lunch service.
4. Strong understanding of food hygiene and WHS regulations.
5. Excellent time management and team coordination skills.
6. Passion for culinary creativity and a positive attitude under pressure.
