Are you a seasoned Airfield Pavement Engineer with a passion for aviation infrastructure and a proven track record in delivering high-quality pavement solutions? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Melbourne, contributing to some of Australia’s most critical airfield projects.
About the Role
As an Airfield Pavement Engineer, you will lead and support the design, assessment, and rehabilitation of airfield pavements across commercial, defence, and regional airports. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team, applying your expertise to ensure safe, durable, and compliant pavement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pavement design and evaluation for runways, taxiways, and aprons.
- Conduct site inspections, condition assessments, and technical reporting.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with CASA, ICAO, and defence standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated local experience in airfield or heavy-duty pavement engineering.
- RPEV (Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria) accreditation.
- Ability to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
- Strong knowledge of pavement design software and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
