Human Resources Generalist II - Days (FT)

The Human Resources Generalist II has the responsibility of managing day-to-day HR operations involving recruitment, staffing, onboarding, position control, compensation, agency staff contract management, and employee relations. The HR Generalist II's core responsibilities involve managing and resolving employee concerns and grievances, as well as developing, implementing and executing effective recruiting, staffing, and compensation strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The HR Generalist II is responsible for onboarding physicians, advanced practice providers, and leaders in the organization and coordinating their onboarding with our organization's provider relations and recruitment leaders.

Job Specific:

- Serve as the initial contact for employee complaints, conducting initial interviews, gathering information, and resolving low complexity grievances while referring moderate to high complexity matters to appropriate staff within the department. (EF)
- Identify, develop, and implement efficient and effective recruiting, staffing, and compensation strategies based on the available positions, industry/market standards, and the needs of the organization. (EF)
- Maintain hospital-wide position control and talent acquisition systems and requisitions based on established administrative and departmental guidelines. (EF)
- Collaborate with department managers to identify hiring criteria, understanding skills and competencies required for open positions, screen applications, and suggest qualified candidates. (EF)
- Oversee agency contracts and onboard contract staff. (EF)
- Collaborate with the marketing team for print and digital advertisements of open positions and recruitment events. (EF)
- Travel to various educational institutions and career fairs to acquire candidates for open positions. (EF)
- Responsible for pre-employment and onboarding processes of physicians, providers, and leadership level positions. (EF)
- May assist with general orientation presentation.
- Assist with day-to-day HR-related inquiries, to include awareness of policies and procedures.
- Assist with file room maintenance.
- Appropriately represent the organization by participating in recognition and volunteer programs, as well as various community/regional events, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Hospital:

- Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
- Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
- Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field; work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management

EXPERIENCE

Required: At least 4 years of human resources responsibilities

Preferred: Experience with talent acquisition platform, experience with Kronos/UKG or other relevant HR/Payroll system; employee relations experience (conflict de-escalation and mediation)

Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to cold call prospective candidates; excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics; ability to work well with a diverse clinical and non-clinical workforce; ability to work independently and take initiative; excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task; ability to travel in and out of state; computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required: Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License

Preferred: HRCI aPHR or SHRM CP
