My client, a major NSW Government organisation are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team on an immediate contract position; based in Parramatta, which allows the flexibility to work-from-home 2x days per week.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the shared multi‑cloud infrastructure platform, ensuring stability, scalability, and a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and improve our automation stack (ARM/Bicep/CloudFormation/Terraform).

- Support and manage our cloud platform and landing zone across AWS and Azure, including integrations.

- Respond to customer support requests and manage our ticket queue.

- Deploy standard infrastructure patterns (e.g., new accounts, baseline infrastructure).

- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure issues and requests are resolved efficiently.

Essential Skills

- 5+ years experience as a Cloud Engineer in total

- Proven experience supporting large shared landing zones in AWS and Azure.

- Strong accountability and proactive approach to problem solving.

- Excellent communication skills - comfortable engaging directly with customers on complex issues.

- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tooling

Desirable Skills

- Certified in Cloud Engineering

- Experience of large complex environments (Telco, Government etc.)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

You must be NSW Based and have full Australian Working Rights to be considered.
