Trade Assistant - Skilled-265361 **Trades Assistant** to join our **Mackay Workshop** on a permanent basis. These roles offer a fantastic work-life balance with a4-Day working rosterAt our **Mackay Workshop**, we are currently seeking applications for Skilled Trades Assistantsto join our **Mackay team**. You’ll be part of a close-knit group with a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to innovation, technical excellence, and safety. We maintain an impressive array of capabilities onsite - giving you access to broad and interesting range of work on a day-to-day basis.**Your range of experience and operator qualifications will enable you to be an integral member of our team**. You'll play a critical role in maintaining, overhauling and repairing heavy equipment while ensuring our workshop operates efficiently and effectively.* Proven experience in **fault diagnosis and repair** within heavy machinery* Experience in disassembly and assembly of complex equipment and machinery* Demonstrated **work ethic** and keenness to work as a member of a team* Skills in **organizing and planning work** to ensure smooth operations, looking ahead to resolve challenges before they arise* Keenness to work in a **self-led environment**, where you have a say and input to the work you do, supported by a depth of technical support from our Project Leads and Engineering Teams* Experienced in and holding **current High Risk Work Licences** for: + Dogging + Basic Rigging + Forklift Operation**Experience in applying protective coatings/paint; and****Experience in packaging equipment for transportation are also favourable.*** Ability to provide a safe, supportive and positive workplace* Empower a united and collaborative culture* Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions* Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients and other stakeholders* Genuine concern for safety**Growth Opportunity**: Work in a permanent position where your skills and experience are highly valued, with a pathway to progress**Variety & Challenge**: Tackle a range of tasks within a dynamic workshop environment.**Requirements*** Minimum 3 months experience on a maintenance site preferred but not essential* Elevated Work Platform Ticket preferred but not essential* 'C' Class Drivers License* Able to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.* Assist tradespeople by positioning and holding metal stock or products to enable work to be carried out;* Hand tools to tradespeople, and hold tools not immediately required;* Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing and bolting;* Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches;* Clean and prepare working surfaces* Operate grinders, jack hammers etc as instructed* Trade Assistants may specialise as boilermaker's assistants, fitters' assistants.## Primary Location: Australia-QLD-Mackay & Coalfields
