About the role:

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Senior Mechanical Engineers who have detailed design experience across mineral process plant projects.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be working in a highly experienced team supporting a variety of critical mineral projects. The roles are offered on a full-time permanent basis with career path opportunities.

You will work collaboratively with your team providing timely and professional delivery of project deliverables in accordance with the company, client and project requirements.

Brief duties:

- Design calculations and equipment selection, for various applications including bulk materials handling systems, slurry & hydraulic systems, mechanical platework etc.
- Assisting with the creation, implementation and maintenance of project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable to improve efficiency including Scopes of Work, Specifications, Datasheets and Technical Evaluation of Tender Submissions
- Review Vendor documentation and facilitate incorporation into project designs with specific reference to ensuring constructability, operability and maintainability
- Ensuring compliance with the project specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards
- Execute project delivery within schedule, budget and quality criteria with a strong focus on safety
- Pro‑actively work to identify risks, both project and technical, and taking appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomes
- Willingness to attend site for short to medium term construction support, commissioning and/or operational support roles as required

About you:

- Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with base metals, rare earth minerals and mineral processing in a design and construct environment
- Experience in materials handling and plant front end, slurry, water and solutions pumping and pipeline design
- Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards
- Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
- Innovative thinker with the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously to meet strict deadlines.
- A good attitude, team focus and willingness to learn.
