The Role We have permanent full-time positions available in Castlemaine on both day and afternoon shifts. Rostered days off are provided, with afternoon shifts receiving additional penalty rates. Shift Details - Day Shift 1: Approximately 5:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO (subject to availability) - Day Shift 2: Approximately 6:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO - Afternoon Shift: Approximately 3:00 pm to Midnight — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + 15% penalty + RDO Responsibilities - Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in meat processing, including packing, slicing, lifting, pushing, pulling, holding, and carrying. - Handle both raw and cooked meat products. - Adhere to strict food safety and quality standards throughout the production process. - Maintain a clean and organised work environment. - Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets. - Rotate tasks to provide variety in daily duties. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Qualifications & Attributes - Strong commitment to safe work practices at all times. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with other team members. - Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while completing repetitive tasks. - Able to stand for extended periods. - Comfortably lift weights of 15‑20 kg frequently. - Able to work in chilled temperature rooms. - Hard‑working attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to following established procedures and health and safety practices. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Full‑time working hours availability. - Must pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
