About the opportunity

Y Victoria is currently seeking a permanent Coordinator for our Before and After School Care service at Hazelwood North Primary School. This is a permanent part-time position (32.5 hours per week) with working hours from Monday - Friday - 7.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m, with ample administration time during the day.

The hourly rate for the position is $35 (ACECQA approved Diploma or equivalent) and $41 p/hour (ACECQA Approved Degree or equivalent) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

OSHC Coordinators are responsible for:

- Overseeing the daily operations and strategic development and growth of the program;
- Working with the Regional OSHC Coordinator to identify and respond to service improvement opportunities;
- Creating a positive relationship with the school, families, local community groups and contract partners;
- Managing a team of educators who support you in operating a high quality and fun Outside of School Hours Care program

What do you need?

- You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards a Diploma or tertiary-level qualification as determined by ACECQA (see the ACECQA webpage below)
- You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
- You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
- You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor certificate within the first month of your employment

There are a variety of qualifications that ACECQA has approved to work within OSHC ranging from education to community services to healthcare.
