CBU and Unama’ki College are seeking qualified applicants in all undergraduate subject areas interested in teaching part-time courses with our In-Community Degree Program in mainland Nova Scotia, specifically in Millbrook First Nation and Sipekne’katik First Nation.

Applicants should hold a graduate degree in their respective discipline and be passionate about inclusive education. Travel to the classroom location is required for in-person teaching. Travel expenses are covered, including mileage, accommodations and meal per diems. Hybrid delivery options are also available.

ABOUT THE TEACHING OPPORTUNITY

We offer flexible course start dates throughout the year. Courses are offered in a modular format with a 4-week teaching commitment per course. Instructors must be available to teach 9 hours per week during evenings or weekends to accommodate working students. Course dates for 2025/26 run through September to April.

IN-COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING

For more than 30 years, Unama’ki College’s In-Community Degree Programs have been making post-secondary education more accessible to Indigenous students by offering tailored degree programming across Mi’kma’ki. Students have the opportunity to earn a degree from CBU while studying at home, close to their families and supports systems in addition to receiving specialized student support from CBU.
