Permanency Support Caseworker - Goulburn

About the Role

CareSouth is looking for a permanent, full time Caseworker to join our Goulburn, NSW team working from our new purpose built, and family focused space. This position will require overnight travel to the South Coast of NSW on a minimum monthly basis.

As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanence support, restoration and adoption.

The successful applicant will have:

- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.

- Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards.

- Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families.

- Willingness to travel on a minimum monthly basis.

- Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.

- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team.

- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.

- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.

- Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and the NSW Child Protection system.

- Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance, obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number, (ACT) Working with Vulnerable People Card and NDIS Worker Clearance.
