Overview

An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Guest Activities and Tour Guide to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. We are looking for a Guest Activities and AstroGuide to deliver Indigenous experiences to our guests. You’ll be an ambassador for culture and environment, leading tours in Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park, and assisting at the Tourist Information Centre.

Key Duties

- Be an ambassador to the cultural elements on not only the Department but to Voyages Indigenous Tourism as a whole

- Welcoming guests and visitors to the resort from various demographics

- Provide resort facility and general information to guests and visitors

- Be willing to learn about the night sky and Indigenous Astronomy and deliver guided astro-tours to guests

- Be able to handle guest complaints

Competencies and Attributes

- Experience in customer service and/or hospitality related field

- Enjoys working outdoors (when requested) especially during varied weather conditions

- Motivational and inspirational to others

- Strong communication and ability to talk in front of an audience

Requirements

This role requires a Full Manual License and/or Australian MR Drivers License. Public speaking and administration experience is preferred.
