St Andrews Christian College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School Teacher, who specialises in Humanities/Commerce/English, to join our team. As part of the Secondary School department, this part-time, permanent position (estimated FTE 0.6) offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a meaningful impact in the field of education. The main responsibilities and tasks of the role include:

Responsibilities

- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons across the secondary school curriculum.

- Assessing and reporting on the progress of students, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of diverse student abilities and backgrounds.

- Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of teaching practices.

- Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral care duties as required.

- Adhering to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a passion for education, and a commitment to nurturing the holistic development of young people. A relevant teaching qualification and experience in a similar role are essential. - Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications as required by Victorian Institute of Teaching
