What does the job look like?

Based at our Oakdale site in Kemps Creek, and working hours commencing anytime between 8:00 and 9:00, you’ll oversee the day-to-day planning and scheduling of linehaul loads for our Victoria operations. You’ll manage a fleet that includes company-owned B-doubles and A-doubles, as well as a strong subcontractor network, with a focus on fleet efficiency, compliance, and delivering best-in-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and allocate loads using both in-house fleet and subcontractors.

- Communicate with customers and carriers via email and phone.

- Manage collections from multiple sites and maintain booking sheets.

- Provide subcontractors with detailed instructions for pickups and deliveries.

- Use DFN system for freight management; some tasks handled via email or external portals.

- Optimise fleet utilisation to maximise payloads and achieve financial targets.

- Ensure NHVR and Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance for both company drivers and subcontractors.

- Monitor and report on delivery performance, resolve issues, and identify improvement opportunities.

- Support the analysis of weekly and monthly KPI reporting.

- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.

- Proficient in email management and data entry.

- Capable of handling pressure and adapting to fluctuating workloads.

- Able to manage both system-based and manual (email-based) planning.

- Understanding of NHVR compliance requirements and Chain of Responsibility (COR).

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

- Skill in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
