Early Learning Centre at Gippsland Grammar is a beautiful purpose-built centre where children thrive in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. It currently holds an ‘Exceeding’ rating.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Co-Educator to assist with the 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs at our Bairnsdale Campus. This is a part-time position working approximately 22.5 hours over three days per week, specifically on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 8am to 4pm.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of a high-quality educational program that reflects best pedagogical practice, the Centre’s philosophy, and the School’s ethos. Educators are part of a supportive team, with access to professional learning and growth within a caring school community.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with documentation, observations, and student portfolios.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
- Attend staff meetings, PD sessions, and school events.
- Support daily routines including cleaning, equipment setup, and safety checks.
- Build respectful relationships with children and families.
- Uphold school policies, professional standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services.
- Understanding of the VEYLDF and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification.

A working knowledge of early years learning frameworks and a passion for excellence is mandatory.
