Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a Montessori-inspired early childhood programme
- Engage in intentional teaching, guiding the programme and practice

About The Role

We are seeking a Bachelor qualified (or ACECQA assessed equivalent) Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team on a part time or full-time basis. If you have experience in a Montessori environment or are looking to expand your knowledge and practice, this is the opportunity for you. You will develop your skills in intentional teaching, implementing the Montessori philosophy, guiding the programme and practice, and creating a child-focused environment.

Building Futures Montessori is South East Queensland’s leading Montessori childcare provider with locations in Forest Lake, Wavell Heights and Blackstone. We currently employ over 120 staff and are expanding in centre size, into new locations, and into affiliated businesses including Family Day Care and our “Your Child’s Day” app. Our success is driven by best-practice child-care and the adoption of the Montessori methodology by our highly-trained and enthusiastic team. All our educators are Montessori qualified or working towards a Montessori qualification. Selection Criteria

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)
- Working knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF), Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines (QKLG) and The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Montessori experience is preferred; opportunity to complete your company sponsored Montessori Diploma (0-6) through Building Futures Education
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Current Blue Card or Exemption Card
- Registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or willingness to obtain
- Hold First Aid HLTAID012 & CPR or be willing to obtain
