Maintenance Supervisor Romsey, VIC

Overview

For Purpose Aged Care is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the interior and exterior of our brand-new residence at Romsey.

Our maintenance team is responsible for ensuring all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed and up to date. This includes hands on work and limiting the need to engage contractors.

This role is Monday to Friday and will be supported by an experienced State Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

- Maintain preventative and reactive maintenance tasks for the residence, with hands-on work and limited reliance on external contractors.
- Collaborate with the State Maintenance Manager to plan and prioritise maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs, including OH&S and Fire/Evacuation requirements.
- Assist with after-hours maintenance requirements as needed.

About You

Experience in building maintenance

- Knowledge of aged care industry (desirable)
- Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs i.e. OH&S & Fire/Evacuation
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
- Willingness to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
- Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
- Previous experience working autonomously
- Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and documenting a full plan for work to be completed
